Dr Liu is a consultant cardiologist and clinical lead for cardiac sarcoidosis at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
He specialises in the care of patients with inflammatory heart conditions, cardiac sarcoidosis and heart failure.

Dr Liu is a highly experienced practitioner of advanced cardiac imaging with over 15 years of experience. He runs regular lists in both cardiac MRI and coronary CT.
His provides specialist cardiac imaging advice to regional multi-disciplinary teams and consultant colleagues within Sussex and beyond.
Using detailed information gained from cardiac imaging, Dr Liu provides a better understanding of the underlying conditions of his patients and provides personalised care plans.

As an honorary assistant professor at the Brighton and Sussex Medical school, he has over 50 publications in international medical journals.
He has published a clinical textbook chapter and served as an invited reviewer and editor to medical journals.
His current research group focuses on improving clinical diagnostic and management in patients with inflammatory heart diseases.
